What to Expect

Running a Corgi breeding program is full of surprises and zoomies. We do our best to communicate as much as possible what our families can expect.

If you have questions or are ready to get started please email me at dorseyscorgis@gmail.com and we will get back to you within 3-5 business days. Since we are working with live animals and I am also a busy mom, please be patient with my response time to emails.

If you are interested in joining my deposit list here’s what you can expect.

  • Email me at dorseyscorgis@gmail.com to learn about wait times and projected litters

  • Complete and return my application form and policies agreement. Once I have read through your application and we have exchanged any additional questions I will send you directions to submit your $500 non-refundable deposit.

  • Families on my deposit list receive newsletters and updates every 6-8 weeks

  • Private check ins when puppy time is getting close

  • A private email birth announcement when a puppy comes available to you.

  • Once your puppy is officially reserved, you will have access to a private google photo album, my Puppy Care 101 Handbook and my personal number for texting and phone calls.

  • When the puppies are between 6-7 weeks old I informally and then formally assess everyone’s temperaments and personalities to begin the placement process.

  • Outside of gender and coat color preferences, final placements are my decision as I know the puppies best as well as the outcomes of their bloodlines. Even so, the feedback and preferences of my clients are extremely important in my decisions and really help me know what puppy will be the best fit for you and your lifestyle. It is a very fun time.

  • After final placements are arranged then it’s pickup time. It is always best to plan to come pick your puppy up at my house.

  • I remain available for all my families as a resource and support no matter how old your puppy is.

The Dorsey’s Corgis community is a very special one with many return families owning 2 and sometimes 3 of my puppies. My families often stay in contact with their littermates for local playdates or Instagram and Facebook picture sharing. We love staying connected with all our Corgis!
